Welcome!

A Home Inspection!!   Who needs one?   Well maybe that's the same exact question that you've been asking yourself lately because your thinking of buying or selling a home. If so, then maybe the information that you'll read here will be of some help in regards to answering that question. Whether your a first-time home buyer (seller) or a multi-time home buyer (seller), the decision to buy (sell) a home will be one of the most important financial decisions that an individual or a couple will ever make in their entire lifetime. This decision will have an effect on your future as well as that of your family, thus making this decision a make or break one, for you.
So, with such a large investment at risk why not let a Home Inspection help you with this decision. Whether it's a newly constructed home or a older home that's either currently occupied or has been occupied in the past, we can help.
By having the home inspected, then receiving the written report which consist of a summary report, a check-list, digital pictures etc. A sample of this report can be obtained by contacting us here at UPPER CUMBERLAND HOME INSPECTION either by phone:(615) 699-2413 or by e-mail: bennycarlisle@gmail.com. Again, by having the home inspected and with the aide of the inspection report you, as a client, will have a much better understanding of the condition of the home by knowing the condition of the systems, as well as, the condition of the components that are a part of those systems which also helps make those systems operational..

Therefore, a home inspection will help reduce the risk of purchasing a home by alerting you, the client, to any systems and components that are in need of repair or replacement which could lead to expensively unexpected hidden future costs and also to the possibility of potential safety hazard(s) that could represent a present danger or to help prevent possible future accident(s). The possibility of any potential safety hazard(s) are especially important when a family with children are of concern.
A Home Inspection can also be of importance in helping to sell a home. Much in the same regards as with a home-buyer, a home-seller, after an inspection should, and here, the reason I say should is that most home-owners already have a good understanding of the condition of their home along with it's systems and components by having performed regular maintiance tasks which sometimes results in having to make repairs or replacements. This therefore gives them a good understanding of the current condition of their home. So, by already knowing the current condition of their home, why even have a home inspection performed? Good question.
Sometimes, someone with an outside view, who has no concern other than reporting on the condition of the home, will possibly see something that the home-owner, who because of an everyday presence could have possibly over-looked, forgotten over time, didn't fully understand or the one of the more frequent reason is that poor to minimum repair work was performed by a hired contractor or repair person who then convinced the home-owner that the problem had been properly taken care of and that it wouldn't cause any further problems. When in fact upon closer inspection it revealed that it was hastily and improperly repaired.
Then again, it could be that after the inspection and after reading the report you discover that there really isn't any new condition(s) other than the ones you already knew existed. If this does happen to be the case then you can take pride and feel confident in knowing that when you list your home on the market that you do indeed know the current condition and that you have the inspection report to back-up the home's current condition.
Therefore, a home inspection along with the report, should give the home-owner (seller), a better understanding as to which systems and components might be in need of repair or replacement before listing the home on the market. So that, once the repair(s) or replacement(s) have been completed,  it will increase the value of the home. Thereby giving them a better listing price on the market. Perhaps with the proper repairs done by a professional and with the added value of their home they may decide just to keep it instead. Either way it was a good decision to have a home inspection performed.
But no matter whether you're a home-buyer (seller), if you've decided on having a home inspection performed be sure that it's performed by a Tennessee State License Home Inspector so that you'll receive the very best home inspection possible to help you reduce the risk involved with the purchasing (selling) of a home by knowing the condition of the home.
